The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes - Audio book: 15 hours

Wow, that was a long one! It's very light reading with sweet characters, some history about eastern Kentucky in the 1930s, and just fun to listen to. Not anything deep but enjoyable for my walks and times doing exercises for my back and doing the dishes. I just picked this one at random from my Libby app, and I enjoyed how it could "take me away" for awhile.

This is a busy time...getting ready for Christmas and trying to buy a new house are the biggies right now. While I enjoyed this, I think I need to use my downtime to do better planning and implementing of stuff that needs to be DONE! I will try to restrain myself from starting a new book...though it's hard with this app and a world of choices!!!!

The librarians on horseback were inspiring as they delivered books in the mountains and in the cold. They were strong women who defied the times and the mores of their time. Could the men have really been so awful??? Happily, there were two male characters who saved the book from being too negative!!!
